Global Citizenship: Canada, the World, and You.
As the finale to their 2007/08 luncheon series, The Canadian Club of Vancouver featured as guest speaker Aga Khan Foundation Canada CEO, Khalil Z. Shariff on Thursday, June 12, 2008 at the Four Seasons Hotel Ballroom. Mr. Shariff spoke to members and the public on “Global Citizenship: Canada, the World, and You.” In addition, an Inter-Cultural Choral performance ensured this global-themed event was a highlight of the Canadian Club’s program.
The Canadian Club of Vancouver was established in 1906 and exists to promote Canadian identity and foster Canadian unity. Aga Khan Foundation Canada is a non-profit international agency that supports social and economic development programs in Asia and Africa.
This event was held in conjunction with the Bridges that Unite exhibition at Vancouver`s Roundhouse Community Arts and Recreation Centre, from June 11-22.
